Journalism Resource Center (JRC) was founded in 2011 by the initiative group, which was working for the cross-platform media companies from 2009 in the direction of media researches, media production, schools of journalism, student training and their employment.
Today JRC is representing the center of “Alliance of Broadcasters” which, in its turn, is representing 23 regional broadcasters. Herewith, JRC is also covering media schools in regions of the country (Gori, Telavi, Akhaltsikhe, Kutaisi, Batumi). The center also cooperates with 12 high education facilities and professional centers. JRC along with “Alliance of Broadcasters” unites 20 regional printed and online media platforms in total.
JRC is the founder of the only Russian-language channel TOK-TV in the country and is actively involved in projects aimed at opposing propaganda.
JRC is an active member of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum National Platform and since 2018 is the chair organization of the platform.
